Our Patroness - Mary, the Mother of Jesus
Our school patron saints guide, inspire and interceded for us. Each of our patron saints spent their lives living out our school gospel values of kindness, hope, patience, justice and courage. By the example of their faith we are better able to live out our school mission of letting the light of Christ’s love shine in our lives.
Our school patron is Mary, the mother of Jesus, who accepted with courage and resilience the plan God had for her. Therefore, we too challenge all of our young people to embrace the complexities of life in the same way. This means working with determination and commitment and seeing failure as merely another learning opportunity and a chance to grow stronger.
“When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, ‘Woman, here is your son.’ Then he said to the disciple, ‘Here is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.” - John 19:26-27
Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is the patroness of our school. We look to her for guidance and inspiration in leading us closer to her son. Through the love that she gives to each of us, Mary is able to intercede for us in bringing our prayers to Christ.
