On the 12th February we held a Mental Health and Wellbeing Day for students and staff at Brownedge. We began at 9.00am with students meeting virtually in their forms to socialise and catch up with their friends. This was followed by an assembly from Mrs Oddie, with fun and laughter from staff members to put a smile on all our faces. For the rest of the day, pupils accessed sessions based on strands supported and promoted by Mind and the NHS. These sessions included:
- Get active!
- Get closer to God!
- Get creative!
- Get confident!
- Get safe!
- Get helpful!
Students completed a fun task from at least 3 of the sessions over the course of the day. We were very happy to see many families getting involved with this day of wellbeing and mental health care!
